South Island - Painting

Today has been a busy day. I woke up with no idea what to paint, only the desire to get my hands dirty & a blank white canvas & look what appeared! I am so excited to show you a new painting! The title suggests where this is from, New Zealand. It is a cold, early morning, with sunlit tufts of grass & the fog rolling in. As you may have noticed I love to use a bit of gold, gold metallic paint, somewhere in my work. Aside from grass highlights some ended up getting mixed into the greens & blues as well. In person it has a nice reflective quality in some areas. For example the highlights in the mountains & lighter greens in the grasses. I don't have my usual video but have included some photos taken during the process as well as some detailed shots.
