Winter on the Beach

This past week Anson (the hubby) and I went for a walk on the beach. It sounds like a big event or trip but really we live only 10 minutes from Isle of Palms. I really enjoyed capturing the wintery colors. Everything seemed to shine and reflect the crisp weather.

There was a lot of wind whipping up the loose sand. The tide was out so we followed the trails of shells it had left behind.

I wanted to capture the subtle color, the crisp blue and almost purple reflecting sand. Anson enjoyed a pastime of channeling water while he waited.

The sand was so laden with water it shone and sparkled.

And look what we found on our walk back down the beach, a perfect unbroken sand dollar.
