When we first arrived here in Japan, back in May, we did a lot of sight seeing, as you may already know. One of our firsts trips was to Yokohama, just a short trip by train and about half way to Tokyo from where we live. Anson and I spent the afternoon in Yokohama visiting one of it's famous landmarks, Landmark Tower. We've been below it several times. There is a nice shopping center and some places to eat.

Our first view from the tower once you exit the elevator is of the waterway and huge ferris wheel. There is a huge clock in the center of the wheel that at this angle you can't read.

I find the waterways, roads and green strips of trees fascinating. The views from up here give you at least a glimpse into what Japan looks like, or at least part of it.

There is so much green here despite the packed buildings. Everyone here gardens and trees flourish. If it was the States we'd just plow down those pesky trees and maybe replant some later if we've left enough room and dirt.

A ship that you can tour as well as an open air seating and lawn.

Quick photo to end our trip. Anson now has a camera of his own, my old D80. I think I've finally convinced him that it is his and for him to use. So he took a few shots while here as well. I'm so proud of how fast he picked up using all the manual modes on a DSLR camera.
